Day 1 - UK to Vancouver

Your Canada holiday starts with a departure from Heathrow o­n a scheduled Air Canada flight to Vancouver. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore.

Day 2 – Vancouver

Renowned as o­ne of the most beautiful cities in the world, Vancouver is home to spectacular natural scenery with breath taking views in every direction, has a bustling metropolitan core and boasts o­ne of the mildest climates in Canada. Why not enjoy all the city has offer on a flexible city tour? Highlights of downtown Vancouver, including major attractions, and scenic points of interest. Tickets are valid for two consecutive days, and the convertible clear top buses offer stunning views, rain or shine. Choose to Hop-Off at any of the 20 plus stops, and Hop-On again to continue the tour. Take an up close and personal look at Vancouver’s urban oasis, Stanley Park, have lunch at Granville Island, visit the historical Gastown or the trendy Yaletown, and don’t forget Robson Street to do a little shopping! Highlights of the route include English Bay, Stanley Park, Granville Island, Yaletown, Gastown, Chinatown, Robson Street, and the Entertainment District.

Day 3 - Vancouver to Whistler

Travel on board the Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to the resort town of Whistler, renowned for outstanding skiing and year-round outdoor activities. Following your tour coach transfer from downtown Vancouver, the Whistler Mountaineer takes you a breath-taking rail journey through the stunning scenery of this “Sea to Sky” region. Highlights of the trip include spectacular views across Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains, Shannon Falls, Mount Garibaldi, and the impressive Cheakamus Canyon. The remainder of your day is at leisure. Breakfast included.

Overnight (1): Whistler

Day 4 - Whistler to Quesnel

Depart Whistler and travel to the charming rural town of Quesnel, the gateway to the North Cariboo. Enjoy breath-taking and varied scenery, from the river canyons and lush farmland of the Pemberton Valley, to the desert-like conditions of the Fraser Canyon and the Cariboo Plateau with its rolling hills and vast ranch lands. Highlights include the shorelines of Anderson Lake and glacial fed Seton Lake, sweeping views of Fraser Canyon and Deep Creek Bridge, o­ne of the highest railway bridges in the world. Your day concludes as you follow the banks of the Fraser River into Quesnel. Breakfast and lunch are included.

Day 5 - Quesnel to Jasper

Your journey continues eastward today to the majestic Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park. From Quesnel the Rocky Mountaineer follows the Fraser River north to the town of Prince George and then travels east through the forests of Northern British Columbia, home to plentiful wildlife including a large population of moose. Entering the Rocky Mountain Trench you are surrounded to the north by the steeply rising Rocky Mountains and to the south by the Cariboo Mountains. Continue climbing past Mount Robson, the highest peak in Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet), and through the Yellowhead Pass into the province of Alberta. Your rail journey ends today o­n arrival in Jasper. Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 6 – Jasper

Jasper National Park is a World Heritage Site and Canada's largest National Park. Today you will enjoy a short scenic tour including the many natural attractions, rugged peaks and perhaps a glimpse of some of the many creatures that call this Mountain Park home. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Day 7 - Jasper to Lake Louise

Travel to Lake Louise via one of the most scenic highways in the world, the Icefields Parkway. A Stop will be made at Athabasca Falls before arriving at the Columbia Icefield. Here you will ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier. Your driver/guide will explain how glaciers are formed and point out some interesting geological features. Time will be available for lunch (not included). Afterwards. a brief stop will be made at Bow Lake before arriving in Lake Louise in the afternoon.

Overnight (1): Lake Louise 

Day 8 - Lake Louise to Banff

This morning you are free to explore beautiful Lake Louise on your own, after lunch, a half day tour takes you into Yoho National Park to view some of its natural wonders. Among the attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake, and a natural rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. At the end of the tour you will be transferred to Banff. Please note: While departure from The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise will be approximately 2:00 p.m., scheduled checkout time is normally 12:00 p.m. Your luggage will be stored upon checkout and you are free to enjoy the amenities of the hotel before the tour departs.

Day 9 - Free Time in Banff

Enjoy sightseeing at your leisure in Banff. There are lots to do or you may just want to spend the day relaxing at your hotel

Day 10 - Banff to Kamloops (on-board the Rocky Mountaineer)

Travel o­n-board the Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain town of Banff to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. Your journey offers you a spectacular range of scenery as you travel between the high peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranch lands of the interior. Today’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels a remarkable feat of railroad engineering, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass, Craigellachie where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven and of course the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Breakfast and lunch are included.

Overnight (1): Kamloops

Day 11 - Kamloops to Vancouver (on-board the Rocky Mountaineer).

Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. o­n today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and forests surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains to, the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Breakfast and Lunch is included.

Day 12 - Vancouver to UK

Time for some last-minute souvenir shopping and a stroll in this beautiful city before your transfer independently to Vancouver Airport and your overnight flight to the UK.
