Situated on the doorstep of spectacular scenery, Banff nestles amidst the glory of the Canadian Rockies and boasts an attractive main street with numerous cafes and craft shops. Day 5 - Sun - Lake Louise

Lake Louise, with its blue-green water set against the stark backdrop of Victoria Glacier, is probably the most photographed scene in the Canadian Rockies. The village of Lake Louise holds an array of fine dining and shopping. We suggest a stroll around the turquoise waters of the lake.

Day 6 - Mon - Lake Louise – Jasper

Today you travel the Icefields Parkway through the natural wonders of Banff and Jasper National Parks. Spectacular glaciers, cascading waterfalls, turquoise lakes and colourful meadows dot this awe-inspiring mountain wilderness. The snow-capped peaks and endless mountain ridges are home to a wide variety of wildlife, including bears, wolves, deer and eagles. The tour stops at the Columbia Icefield where you have time for an included ride on the Ice Explorer onto the massive Athabasca Glacier.

Overnights (3): Jasper

Days 7-8 - Tues-Wed - Jasper

A showcase of pearly blue lakes, long ridge-top hikes, canyons and a world-class golf resort, the town of Jasper is a sleepy sanctuary, known as a refuge for bighorn sheep, elk, deer and moose - all of which have been spotted wandering its streets. Today enjoy an included excursion where you will experience Jasper National Park by travelling the trails of the early explorers and view the park’s unspoiled grandeur. You will begin along the mighty Athabasca Canadian Heritage River learning about David Thompson and the valley ecosystem. Hike above Maligne Canyon, with its narrow gorge and limestone walls created by 10,000 years of water erosion and visit a place of mystery and Indian legend at Medicine Lake. You are sure to see a variety of mountain wildlife.

Day 9 - Thurs - Jasper – Kamloops

Travel on board the Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. As you journey west and south you will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3954 metres (12,972 ft.) and the journey along the Thompson River as you approach your overnight destination, Kamloops. Breakfast & Lunch Included.

Day 10 - Fri - Kamloops – Vancouver

Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. on today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes of scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and forests surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains to the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Breakfast & Lunch Included.

Day 11 - Sat - Vancouver

The following day explore this beautiful harbour city. Renowned as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Vancouver is home to spectacular natural scenery with breath-taking views in every direction. It has a bustling metropolitan core and boasts one of the mildest climates in Canada. Explore the city on the included sightseeing tour visiting Stanley Park, Gastown, and Chinatown. Spend time on Granville Island with its craft workshops and superb restaurants and for a stunning vista of Vancouver and its harbour, take the gondola up Grouse Mountain.

Overnights (7): On board the Norwegian Pearl.

Day 13 - Mon - Cruise the Inside Passage

The calm, protected waters along this 1,000 mile Alaskan 'marine highway' are filled with sea lions, sea otters and migrating whales. on beaches and in coves on shore moose, deer and bears forage for food and in the sky eagles soar.

Day 14 - Tues - Juneau

This morning visit Juneau. Accessible only by water and air, wildlife thrives in this stunning frontier landscape. Take an optional helicopter flight to the Mendenhall Glacier or try whale watching by jet boat. Arrive Juneau at 7am depart 1.15pm.

Day 15 - Wed – Skagway

Skagway's development started in 1896, when gold was discovered in a tributary of the Klondike River and tiny Skagway quickly grew to 20,000 residents. By 1900, the White Pass and Yukon Route railway began carrying the more fortunate gold seekers over the mountain pass. Take an optional ride on the White Pass Scenic Railway or try gold-panning. The real gold, some say, never left Skagway. It's still there in the matchless golden sunrises and sunsets. Arrive Skagway 7am and depart 9pm.

Day 16 - Thurs - Glacier Bay

Today your ship cruises magnificent Glacier Bay. Marvel at the snow-white glaciers while cruising through breath-taking scenery.

Day 17 - Fri – Ketchikan

Ketchikan's 19th-century commercial fishing, canning and logging industries drew hearty workers who added a raucous side to the city's history. The infamous restored "red light" district with its bordello-turned-museum is a present-day testament to that era. Try an optional Alaska Bear Adventure by floatplane (seasonal). Arrive Ketchikan at 6am and depart 2pm.

Day 18 - Sat – Victoria

Late afternoon visit the stately capital of British Columbia - beautiful Victoria. Perhaps take an optional tour to the nearby stunning Butchart Gardens?
