Banff
Situated on the doorstep of spectacular scenery, Banff nestles amidst the glory of the Canadian Rockies. With a wealth of attractions, ranging from the Hot Springs to the gondola ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, Banff boasts an attractive main street with numerous cafes and craft shops. Renowned for its winter activities, Banff is also the summer “gateway” to National Parks and the scenic splendour of the Icefields Parkway.

Day 5 - Tues
Banff – Jasper
Travel to Jasper along the Icefields Parkway which features superb alpine scenery. Seemingly at every turn a new vista awaits with emerald lakes, waterfalls and swiftly flowing mountain streams. Visit the extensive Columbia Icefield, the largest formation of ice and snow in the Canadian Rockies and, weather permitting, why not take the ‘snocoach’ ride onto the Athabasca Glacier to walk on this imperceptibly moving river of ice.
Overnights(2): Jasper

Day 6 - Wed
Jasper

A showcase of pearly blue lakes, long ridge-top hikes, canyons and a world-class golf resort, the town of Jasper is a sleepy sanctuary, known as a refuge for bighorn sheep, elk, deer and moose - all of which have been spotted wandering its streets. A trip to the exquisite Maligne Lake, the second largest glacier-fed lake in the Rockies, is well recommended where a cruise will take you past glacier-studded mountains peaks to world-famous Spirit Island. Return your hire car late afternoon.

Day 7 - Thurs
Jasper – Kamloops

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. As you journey west and south you will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Skagway
Skagway's development started in 1896, when gold was discovered in a tributary of the Klondike River and tiny
Skagway quickly grew to 20,000 residents. By 1900, the White Pass and Yukon Route railway began carrying the more fortunate gold seekers over the mountain pass. Take an optional ride on the White Pass Scenic Railway or try gold-panning. The real gold, some say, never left Skagway. It's still there in the matchless golden sunrises and sunsets. Arrive Skagway 7am and depart 9pm.

Glacier Bay

Today your ship cruises magnificent  Glacier Bay. Marvel at the snow-white glaciers while cruising through breath-taking scenery.

Day 15 - Fri
Ketchikan

Ketchikan's 19th-century commercial fishing, canning and logging industries drew hearty workers who added a raucous side to the city's history. The infamous restored "red light" district with its bordello-turned-museum is a present-day testament to that era. Try an optional Alaska Bear Adventure by floatplane (seasonal). Arrive Ketchikan at 6am and depart 2pm.
