Pointe-Du-Lac to La Malbaie (174 mi/281km)
The Laurentians move closer to the shore of the St. Lawrence as they approach the mouth of the Malbaie River. Travel scenic Route 138 from Beaupré, and take the Route 362 detour from Baie-St-Paul, with wooded hills interrupted by narrow riverbeds and billowing meadows, ending in harsh cliffs plunging down to the river. Baie-St-Paul is an artists’ colony, and St-Siméon affords visitors numerous opportunities for whale-watching. Domaine Charlevoix, offers hiking, mountain bicycling and sightseeing in 700 acres of wilderness. Terraces and trails afford beautiful views of waterfalls, mountains and the St. Lawrence River.
