Day 1 UK – Vancouver Your Canada holiday starts with a departure from London Heathrow onboard a scheduled Air Canada flight to Vancouver. A private transfer will be provided on arrival to your centrally located hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure. Overnights(2): Vancouver
Day 2 Vancouver Renowned as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Vancouver is home to spectacular natural scenery with breathtaking views in each, and every direction, has a bustling metropolitan core and boasts one of the mildest climates in Canada. Explore the city on the included sightseeing tour visiting Stanley Park, Gastown, and Chinatown. Spend time on Granville Island with its craft workshops and superb restaurants and for a stunning vista of Vancouver and its harbour, take the gondola up Grouse Mountain.
Day 3 Vancouver – Victoria (42 miles) Today, pickup your hire car and take a scenic ferry ride through the Strait of Georgia and around the many Gulf Islands to Vancouver Island and stately, Victoria. Overnights(2): Victoria
Day 4 Victoria - Whale-watching cruise The capital city of British Columbia, Victoria is situated on the southern tip of Vancouver Island and is world-renowned for its charming ambience. Sometimes referred to as the “garden city” Victoria has a bustling harbour and beautiful heritage buildings. Enjoy an included whale-watching cruise in search of Orcas, minke whales and grey whales. Visit the beautiful Butchart Gardens and explore the harbour area by horse drawn carriage or stroll amongst the narrow streets and markets.
Day 5 Victoria – Tofino (215 miles) Leave Victoria heading north for the Pacific Coast and Tofino. En route stop at Chemainus to view the famed wall murals. They cover the sides of buildings and depict colourful scenes featuring the town’s heritage. Afterwards continue to Tofino winding through ancient forests and national parks. Overnights(2): Tofino
Day 6 Tofino - in search of the black bear From Tofino enjoy a included cruise at low tide in a zodiac to see the feeding grounds of black bear. When the tide goes out, the bears emerge from the forests and forage along the shoreline in search of rock crabs. These times offer excellent opportunities to view the inquisitive black bear in their natural habitat.
Day 7 Tofino – Vancouver (138 miles) Today head back for the mainland as you drive through stunning scenery of Pacific Rim National Park en route to Nanaimo and the ferry to Horseshoe Bay, just north of Vancouver. Time for a final look at this beautiful harbour city before returning your hire car, as tomorrow you’ll be heading into the Rockies by train. Overnight(1): Vancouver
Day 8 Vancouver – Kamloops Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver to Kamloops in the interior of British Columbia. En route you will pass through the fertile Fraser Valley and the scenic Fraser Canyon. one of the canyon's true highlights is Hell's Gate, where you will watch water torrent past the canyon's walls at its narrowest point. Upon leaving the Fraser Canyon, the train will follow the Thompson River to the city of Kamloops. Breakfast & Lunch Included Overnight(1): Kamloops
Day 9 Kamloops to Jasper Back onboard the Rocky Mountaineer you will follow the Thompson River through rolling plateaus into the snowy peaks of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Pass by Mt. Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3954 meters (12,972 ft), before entering Jasper National Park. Arrive in Jasper late afternoon. Breakfast & Lunch Included Overnights(3): Jasper
Day 10-11 Jasper Collect your hire car this morning. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Jasper National Park. A showcase of pearly blue lakes, long ridge-top hikes, canyons and a world-class golf resort, the town of Jasper is a sleepy sanctuary, known as a refuge for bighorn sheep, elk, deer and moose – all of which have been spotted wandering its streets. A trip to exquisite Maligne Lake, the second largest glacier-fed lake in the Rockies, is well recommended where a cruise will take you past glacier-studded mountain peaks to world-famous Spirit Island.
Day 12 Jasper – Banff (173 miles) Travel the Icefields Parkway through the natural splendour of Jasper and Banff National Parks. Glistening glaciers, cascading waterfalls, emerald lakes and alpine meadows dot this awe-inspiring mountain paradise. Stop at the Columbia Icefield, and, weather permitting, why not take the ‘snocoach’ ride onto the Athabasca Glacier to walk on this huge expanse of ice. Afterwards view the turquoise waters of Lake Louise before arriving into Banff. Overnights(3): Banff
Day 13-14 Banff Situated on the doorstep of spectacular scenery, Banff nestles amidst the glory of the Canadian Rockies. With a wealth of attractions, ranging from the Hot Springs to the gondola ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, Banff boasts an attractive main street with numerous cafes and craft shops. Renowned for its winter activities, Banff is also the summer “gateway” to National Parks and the scenic splendour of the Icefields Parkway.
Day 15 Banff – Calgary (74 miles) Today drive to Calgary, a stylish and friendly city. Its history comes alive at Heritage Park, Canada's largest living historical village, at the Glenbow Museum and at the site of Calgary's birthplace, Fort Calgary. Discover Canada Olympic Park, site of the 1988 Olympics and travel to the top of the ski-jump tower or, for a spectacular view of the city’s heart, ascend Calgary tower. Return your hire car at Calgary Airport prior to your overnight flight to the UK.

Just a brief note to tell you what a wonderful holiday we have just experienced. All the arrangements worked like clockwork, the hotels you chose were as good as you promised, the spring weather arrived in British Colombia the same time as us and even the local wildlife made an appearance for the whale and bear watching trips. This was our first adventure outside of Europe so we were not quite sure what to expect. The professionalism of your organisation made it a holiday to remember.
