Day 1
UK – Toronto
Your Canada holiday starts with a departure from Heathrow o­n your Air Canada flight to Toronto. Transfer by private vehicle to your downtown hotel. The remainder of your day is at leisure.

Day 2
Niagara Falls
Departing from your hotel, the Niagara Falls full day tour will bring you to o­ne of Canada’s most spectacular sights. You will make your way to Niagara through the towns of Hamilton - "the steel capital of Canada", St. Catherines - "the fruit basket of Ontario", and the wine region of the Niagara Peninsula. An ample amount of time will be spent at the falls to give you every opportunity to take pictures and admire the thundering waters. Included is a thrilling boat ride (seasonal) o­n the Maid of the Mist for an unique view of the spectacular Horseshoe Falls. Other highlights include a meal and a trip along the beautiful Niagara Parkway which winds its way along the Niagara Gorge passing through the historic community of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

 
Day 3
Toronto
Ride the Hippo, Toronto’s newest sightseeing experience. Step aboard the Hippo - an amphibious bus - and enjoy a tour that combines the city’s landmarks with the scenery of the harbour. o­n land, you will see the CN Tower, legislative buildings, and much more. Then, dive from the hustle and bustle of downtown into the serenity of the Toronto Harbour. Cruise the Harbourfront and take in the views of the magnificent Toronto skyline, including a view of Fort York and o­ntario Place. The commentary en route is topical as well as historical and focuses o­n the heritage of the city.Please note Hippo operates from the April 29 departure, prior to this the city sightseeing tour is substituted.

Day 4
Toronto – Ottawa
Depart today from Union Station o­n a VIA Rail train to Ottawa. Your journey takes you along the shores of Lake O­ntario, passing through the Thousand Islands region and the historic city of Kingston, the original capital of Canada before Ottawa became the seat of Government in the 1840s.

Days 5-6
Ottawa
Discover the Capital of Canada o­n your included sightseeing tour. Ottawa is an architecturally stunning city with a unique combination of urban and rural experiences. The city’s museums, heritage buildings, parks, (Ottawa’s springtime tulips are a sight to behold) and monuments paint a vivid picture of Ottawa’s colourful past while also allowing a glimpse of its future. Visit the Notre-Dame Basilica, Ottawa’s oldest surviving church with its famous collection of statues, stroll the shopping malls, and take an included cruise o­n the Rideau Canal as it meanders through this historic city.

Day 7

Ottawa - Montreal

Take the VIA train today to  Montreal, situated o­n an island in the St Lawrence River, this charming city has been referred to as the ‘Paris of North America’, its history a rich backdrop to its vibrant multicultural life. Montreal has numerous festivals, beautiful botanic gardens, street fairs and innumerable terrace cafés where locals and visitors alike gather to socialize. The lookout o­n top of Mount Royal presents a superb panorama of the city and the Underground City, linking many buildings and malls, is a shopper's paradise.

Day 8
Quebec City tour
Discover the historical treasures and wonderful “joie de vivre” atmosphere of Quebec City during this full day excursion. Your expert guide provides narration as you tour through the o­nly walled city in North America. Highlights include, the Upper and Lower Towns, the Parliament Buildings, the Plains of Abraham, the Citadel, Chateau Frontenac, Place d'Armes, Quebec National Assembly, the Notre Dame Basilica. A visit to Montmorency Falls, 30 metres higher than the world famous Niagara Falls, is also included in today’s tour.

Day 9
Montreal tour
Some of the highlights of this fully-narrated tour are a stop at the beautiful Notre Dame Basilica (entrance not included), residential and financial districts, historic Old Montreal, an outside view of the Olympic Complex, the campus of McGill University and the panoramic view from an observation point o­n top of Mont Royal. The tour can be considered a complete tour of the city, as it will bring passengers by more than 200 points of interest.

Day 10
Montreal – VIA's Ocean train - Halifax
Day at leisure before you board VIA's Ocean train bound for Nova Scotia. Settle down in a comfortable sleeper coach for your overnight rail journey travelling along the south shore of the St. Lawrence to Halifax.

Halifax

Awake in the dense forest of New Brunswick before stopping in Moncton on your way to a late afternoon arrival into Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia. Transfer independently to your centrally located hotel.

Today enjoy a city sightseeing tour through the historic streets of this fascinating city. Highlights include St. Paul's Church, the Historic Properties, the Titanic Burial Site, ocean terminals, the Historic Citadel National Historic Park and the Victorian Public Gardens. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 13

Whalewatching

Your adventure begins as you depart Halifax Harbour for a memorable whalewatching cruise to Chebucto Head. Onboard the 200-passenger vessel, experienced naturalists will offer local history and geography information as you scan the ocean for the telltale flukes of whales and other marine wildlife.

Day 14

Peggy's Cove Tour - Halifax to UK

Today's tour will travel along the shore to Peggy's Cove for an outstanding view of Nova Scotia's unique coastline, full of history and culture. The picture postcard village stands on a granite rock, high above the crashing Atlantic surf, an artists' and explorers' paradise. Afternoon at leisure before you are transferred by private car to the airport for your overnight flight to the UK.
