Cabot Trail

Acadia is the name that early explorers gave to the Maritime coast of Canada, perhaps because it reminded them of Arcadia of ancient Greece. This trip leads you from the southern coast of Nova Scotia, a mosaic of picturesque fishing villages, rocky points, forested islands, and broad sand beaches, to the wild coast of the Gaspesie, with its huge seabird colonies and steep cliffs. En route you will experience the Bay of Fundy, home of the world's highest tides, the Gulf coast of New Brunswick with its long sand bars and dunes; and the red cliffs of Prince Edward Island. Finally, you drive the Cabot Trail, eastern America’s best-loved scenic drive, as you return to Halifax.
