Day 1
U.K. - Vancouver

Your Canada holiday starts with a departure from London Heathrow on your Air Canada flight to Vancouver. On arrival there is an included private transfer to your centrally located hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure.
Overnights(3): Vancouver

Days 2-3
Vancouver

Renowned as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Vancouver is home to spectacular natural scenery with breathtaking views in each and every direction, has a bustling metropolitan core and boasts one of the mildest climates in Canada. Enjoy an included sightseeing tour of the major sites of the city. There are numerous attractions, all within easy reach of downtown; visit Stanley Park, Gastown, Chinatown and Granville Island with its craft workshops and superb restaurants. For a stunning vista of Vancouver and its harbour, take the gondola up Grouse Mountain.

Day 4
Vancouver – Victoria
(42 miles)
Pick up your hire car from downtown Vancouver and head south to Tsawwassen for the ferry through the myriad Gulf Islands to Vancouver Island and Victoria.  (Ferry Crossing Included )
Overnights(2): Victoria

Day 5
Victoria

The capital city of British Columbia, Victoria is situated on the southern tip of Vancouver Island and is world-renowned for its charming ambience. Sometimes referred to as the “garden city” Victoria has a bustling harbour, heritage buildings and offers numerous whale watching cruises. Visit the beautiful Butchart Gardens and explore the harbour area by horse drawn carriage or stroll amongst the narrow streets and markets. We have included a Whalwatching tour from Victoria's inner harbour.

This coastal excursion is an exhilarating round trip of 50 to 80 kilometres in search of Orca's, Minke Whales, Grey Whales, Porpoises, Harbour Seals and other marine wildlife. You will ride aboard a 14 metre ocean cruiser. Comments will be provided by a certified marine biologist and naturalist .

Day 6
Victoria - Tofino/Ucluelet
(215 miles)
Head northwards to Chemainus and once in the town, follow the footprints to view the internationally acclaimed wall murals. Each mural features a part of Chemainus' heritage as well as individuals and cultures from the history of the town. Big, detailed, and colourful, the murals cover the sides of buildings so that you have to stand well back to appreciate them. Continue west to the Pacific coast and Tofino.
Overnights(2): Tofino or Ucluelet

Day 7
Tofino - Whales and Black Bears

The coastal district of Tofino is an intriguing contrast of forests and sandy beaches. Close by is the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve which preserves outstanding examples of coastal rainforest, surf-swept beaches, coastal marine life and the cultural history of the area. We have included an excursion to view the Black Bears of the region.

Encounter one of the most fearsome and fascinating animals that roam the West Coast of Vancouver Island; the black bear. At low tide, board the Explorathor, a 40-passenger vessel, and speed along the lush coastline to the bear’s feeding grounds. When the tide goes out, the bears emerge from the forests and forage along the shores in search of rock crabs. These times offer excellent opportunities to view the inquisitive black bear in their natural habitat.

Day 8
Tofino/Ucluelet – Whistler
(188 miles)
View grey whales and discover the beauty of Clayoquot Sound on the west coast of Vancouver Island. You will ride aboard either the Lady Selkirk or Leviathan II. Both vessels offer heated indoor and outdoor seating, washrooms, snack bar and a fully-licensed bar. These spacious vessels offer superb viewing from the decks along with commentary.Head back to Nanaimo and the ferry to Horseshoe Bay. ( Ferry Crossing Included) once on the mainland, drive north through Squamish on the beautiful Sea to Sky Highway, which skirts Howe Sound, to Whistler. For those interested in railroad history, Squamish is home to the West Coast Railroad Heritage Park with numerous locomotives, items of rolling stock and rescued railroad buildings from British Columbia.
Overnights(2): Whistler

Day 9
Whistler

Established in the late 19th Century, with just half a dozen wooden huts as a remote honeymoon hamlet beside a lake, Whistler today is a top mountain resort. Nestling between world-renowned Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. The natural setting of Whistler offers numerous activities from winter sports to golf, hiking, fishing, canoeing and mountain biking in the summer. The pedestrian only Whistler Village has superb dining, intriguing shops, boutiques and sunny sidewalk cafes as well as, for the young at heart, a vibrant nightlife.

Day 10
Whistler – Kamloops – Sun Peaks
(199 miles)
Meander through “Gold Rush Country”, passing Cache Creek and Lillooet. Both townships are rich in historic lore, dating back to the days when wagon trains and prospectors followed the trail to the Cariboo Gold Fields in the 1800's. However, Cache Creek owes its origins, and name, to the earlier fur traders who cached, or stored, their furs in the area before taking them east to trade. once at Kamloops visit peaceful Riverside Park where the North and South Thompson rivers meet. The word “Cumloops” in the Shuswap language means “meeting of the waters”.
Overnight(1): Sun Peaks

Day 11
Sun Peaks – Lake Louise
(291 miles)
Drive along the southern shores of Shuswap Lake and Little Shuswap Lake to reach Salmon Arm. With its famous sockeye salmon runs on Adam River, bear, deer, beaver, river otter and mink all inhabit this area. Continue east, visiting Crazy Creek Falls just to the west of the alpine community of Revelstoke where over 60 circa 1800s buildings have been conserved. Drive through the stunning scenery of Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks, Rogers Pass, Yoho National Park and Kicking Horse Pass to reach the turquoise blue waters of Lake Louise.
Overnights(2): Lake Louise

Day 12
Lake Louise

Enjoy a day to savour the surrounding area. Lake Louise, with its blue-green water set against the stark backdrop of Victoria Glacier, is probably the most photographed scene in the Canadian Rockies. The village of Lake Louise holds an array of fine dining and shopping. Scenic drives will take you to the awe-inspiring Moraine Lake, the beautiful Icefields Parkway and the Athabasca Glacier or enjoy a boat trip on nearby Lake Minnewanka to Devil’s Gap.

Day 13
Lake Louise – Banff
(33 miles)
Today enjoy a leisurely drive through glorious scenery to the township of Banff.
Overnights(2): Banff

Day 14
Banff

Situated on the doorstep of spectacular scenery, Banff nestles amidst the glory of the Canadian Rockies. With a wealth of attractions, ranging from the Hot Springs to the gondola ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, Banff boasts an attractive main street with numerous cafes and craft shops and is the summer “gateway” to National Parks.

Day 15
Banff – Calgary Airport
(74 miles)
A leisurely drive to Calgary for, perhaps, some last minute souvenir hunting or a visit to one of the Historic Parks before dropping your hire car at the airport in time to catch your overnight flight back to the UK.

Day 16
Arrive UK
