Famous as the centre of the Klondike Gold Rush in the late 19th Century, Whitehorse is the capital of the Yukon.

Whitehorse's gold prospecting heritage is reflected in a number of museums, including the MacBride Museum and the SS Klondike National Historic Site, with its preserved stern wheeler boat. A 'must do' activity is a cruise o­n the Yukon River as is a visit to Frantic Follies - a vaudeville review that recaptures the atmosphere of the Klondike.
