Guide to Eastern Canada
Eastern Canada has many national parks where, it often seems, only the changes of the seasons mark the passage of time. From the taiga and tundra landscapes in the north to the myriad of lakes winding through forested hills of the Laurentian Mountains and the dramatic coastline of the Gaspe Peninsula, Eastern Canada is still largely undiscovered.
Quebec City is unique in that its special appeal is rooted in its compelling mix of North American heritage and French birthright. Toronto has a colourful ethnic mix, rich history and breathtaking architecture whilst the nation?s capital, Ottawa, located at the confluence of three picturesque rivers, is considered by many to be one of the world?s most beautiful capitals and there is, of course Niagara Falls, the most famous water spectacle of them all.

Each of the following Provinces may be selected for further information and details of holidays within that Province.
A province with much to explore, Ontario includes Canada's largest city, Toronto, and areas so remote that polar bears outnumber people. It has tranquil farm country, stunning Parks (one of the most renowned being the forested Algonquin National Park) and an incredible wealth of water which include four of the five Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence and Ottawa Rivers and 250,000 inland lakes plus Niagara Falls, possibly the most famous water spectacle of them all.
With its rich French heritage and North American roots, Quebec is a delightful blend of the New World with the Old. The province is home to an astonishing variety of landscapes; two mountain ranges, vast expanses of forests, taiga and tundra, beautiful coastlines, lakes and rivers. Quebec's cities enjoy an enviable relaxed atmosphere, are steeped in history and have an unforgetable joie de vivre.
