Day 1 - U.K. – Calgary to Banff (82 miles)
Your Canada holiday starts with a flight by Air Canada from London Heathrow to Calgary - regional departures on request. On arrival collect your hire car and leaving Calgary behind, you will set your sights o­n the magnificent Canadian Rocky Mountains. Experience the majesty of the mountains as you first travel through the foothills and then enter Banff National Park where the craggy peaks look larger the closer you get. After you have arrived in the bustling town of Banff, the remainder of the day is free to explore its charms.

Days 2-3  - Banff National Park
Banff National Park is a stunning wilderness and your outdoor playground for the day. Enjoy a gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain for some panoramic views, visit the Cave and Basin, hike along o­ne of the groomed trails or stroll through the town site of Banff to shop in the many boutiques and shops. 

Included Activity: Enjoy an excellent introduction to the dramatic views of helicopter sightseeing, this 12 minute tour of the Spray Lakes and Spray Valley takes you over the forested slopes of Mount Buller, a favourite destination for many intermediate climbers. The tree line stops well short of the summit, offering a dramatic view of the shale patterns rocky outcroppings of the surrounding mountains of the Goat Range as they tumble into the trees of the Spray Valley.

Day 4 - Banff to Jasper (191 miles)
Drive to Jasper via the spectacular Icefields Parkway, said to be o­ne of the most scenic routes in the entire world. We suggest a stop at Peyto Lake and a visit to Maligne Canyon in Jasper National Park. At the Columbia Icefield, take an optional ‘Ice Explorer’ ride o­nto the massive glacier and experience the thrill of walking o­n centuries-old glacial ice. After this exciting experience return to the road for the final stretch to the resort town of Jasper.

Day 5 - Jasper National Park
Today is at your leisure to explore the uniquely beautiful landscape of Jasper National Park where serene lakes and gentle meadows stand in stark contrast to its jagged peaks and spectacular glaciers. We suggest a Maligne Lake boat cruise, a visit to Miette Hot Springs, or a ride o­n the Jasper Tramway.

Included Activity:  This trip is an excellent introduction to white water rafting. Travelling approximately 9-kilometres, you will encounter many Class 2 white water rapids. Commentary on the human and natural history will be provided during the calm stretches. In rain or shine, people from ages 6 to 90 have greatly enjoyed this memorable experience. Join the fun and incomparable views of Jasper National Park with your National Park licensed guide on the Athabasca River. Wet suits, neoprene booties and life jackets will be provided. Minimum age 6

Day 6 - Jasper to Wells Gray Park (275 miles)
Drive the scenic Yellowhead Highway to Wells Gray Park. Before leaving the Rocky Mountains you will encounter o­ne of its most spectacular sights, the mist shrouded peak of Mount Robson. The highest peak in the Rockies can be seen for miles as you wind your way south through a vast unspoiled landscape. On your way enjoy an included jet boat ride on the North Thompson in search of black bears, grizzly bears or moose. A visit to the volcano-shaped wilderness of Wells Gray Provincial Park is worth the detour. Explore the park’s mineral springs, serene lakes, dormant volcanoes and rushing falls. Not to be missed are the towering Helmcken Falls near the entrance to the park .
Overnights (2): Helmcken Falls Lodge - Clearwater

Included Activity:  The River Safari is an unforgettable one hour ride through Grizzly Bear Valley, the heart of the world’s only inland temperate rainforest! Custom built, eco-friendly boats voyage through the jade-colored waters in search of bear, moose, eagle and osprey, to name only a few of the magnificent creatures that may be seen during this breathtaking wilderness experience. In addition to an information packed narrative, guides will point out the wildlife, glaciers and many waterfalls toppling from the snow-capped mountains only metres from the boat. A unique floating restaurant is also available on site.

Day 8 - Wells Gray Park to Kamloops (134 miles)
This morning perhaps visit the Yellowhead Museum for a taste of frontier life or Spahats Creek Park before travelling to your charming resort situated on the South Thompson River.

Day 11 - Kamloops to Whistler (179 miles)
Start early today to allow yourself as much time as possible in the premier resort town of Whistler. The winding road leads through an arid landscape that gradually changes to lush forests lined with snow-capped mountain ranges.

Day 12 - Whistler
Once in Whistler, play a round of golf in the shadow of towering mountains, hike along endless trails and high alpine meadows, ride on horseback past spectacular glaciers or whitewater raft down o­ne of the turbulent rivers. You may wish just to relax in the enchanting setting of the pedestrian village and enjoy the boutiques, restaurants and cafés.

Day 13 - Whistler to Pacific Rim National Park (194 miles land-only)
Travel the Sea-to-Sky Highway through a landscape carved out by glaciers and edged by craggy fjords. After a brief stop at Shannon Falls continue to Horseshoe Bay where you will board an included ferry to sail across the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Island. Your drive to the Pacific Coast will take you through ancient rainforests and provincial parks. You are venturing into true wildlife territory here, and you might even catch a glimpse of bears, deer or wolves. The Pacific Rim National Park is a marvel of ecological and geographical diversity as you will see as you pass through dense rainforests, steep ravines and windswept beaches.

Day 14 - Pacific Rim National Park
Your day is at leisure to explore the rugged coastline along the network of hiking trails or walk the shoreline of Long Beach in search of shells and driftwood.

Included Activity: Encounter one of the most fearsome and fascinating animals that roam the West Coast of Vancouver Island; the black bear. At low tide, board a 29 foot Zodiacstyle vessel and speed along the lush coastline to the bear’s feeding grounds. When the tide goes out, the bears emerge from the forests and forage along the shores in search of rock crabs. These times offer excellent opportunities to view the inquisitive black bear in their natural habitat.

Day 15 - Pacific Rim National Park to Vancouver (248 miles)
This morning’s drive will take you back to the east coast of Vancouver Island. En route you might want to visit Horne Lake Caves or Cathedral Cove. The coastal road winds through quaint seaside towns and the murals of Chemainus and the quaint Quw’utsun’ Cultural and Conference Centre in Duncan are well worth the visit. The day winds down in Victoria, the capital of British Columbia. This beautiful city has a fascinating maritime heritage and has carefully preserved its colonial charm. Enjoy an included mini-cruise o­n B.C. Ferries guiding you around the many Gulf Islands through the Strait of Georgia to mainland British Columbia. Return your hire car to the downtown depot. The rest of the day is at your leisure to enjoy the stores, parks, restaurants, theatres and other attractions of downtown Vancouver.

Days 16-17 - Vancouver
Renowned as o­ne of the most beautiful cities in the world, Vancouver is home to spectacular natural scenery with breathtaking views in each and every direction, has a bustling metropolitan core and boasts o­ne of the mildest climates in Canada. Enjoy all the city has offer with your included flexible city tour. Highlights of downtown Vancouver, including major attractions, and scenic points of interest. Tickets are valid for two consecutive days, and the convertible clear top buses offer stunning views, rain or shine. Choose to Hop-Off at any of the 20 plus stops, and Hop-On again to continue the tour.
